The active VM-50 produces crystal-clear audio with punchy bass and vigorous. The speaker can be configured to suit the characteristics of any space, making it perfect for recreating club sound when DJing or ensuring a flat frequency response when producing music at home or in a professional studio environment.
High quality components
All VM series speakers include a Class D amplifier with 96 kHz DSP sampling to enable wideband audio reproduction wide. Its highly efficient results result in minimal distortion and high energy sound. The 4mm rigid aluminum front baffle further suppresses resonance and vibrations, ensuring sound true to the original source.
Aramid fiber woofer cones and Vortex Bass throttle
The aramid fiber cones ensure an extraordinary beat that you will feel in the low and mid-high frequencies. These newly developed cones are 30% lighter than conventional paper coated aramid cones making them stronger and deeper sounding. The Vortex Bass accelerator ensures that the deep audio is accurate and free from unwanted vibrations as the fins on the bass reflector port cause airflows to flow freely from the speaker to ensure pure sound.
Constant directivity horn
Mid and high frequency sounds are emitted with power thanks to the constant directivity horn, which also creates a uniform, widened and uniform listening space. The shape of the horn and the corner of the woofer are specially designed so that the flat reproduction frequency passes easily to the tweeter, creating a natural sound.
DSP control
All VM series speakers output a flat sound to ensure you hear the natural sound of the music. To help you refine the output and find the perfect sound for the space youre working in, each speaker includes a DSP setup. On the rear panel you will find 2 buttons: Low EQ and High EQ. Without having to look, you can operate the buttons in 4 different positions, giving you 16 possible easy-to-set equalizer settings. Choose the one that best suits the DJ or music production at home or in the studio, depending on the shape, size and construction of the space.
LOW EQ
Use this to adjust the bass depending on your speaker location and the type of sound you want to DJ or produce music.
L1: ROOM 1 ? This setting reduces the bass (6 dB HPF applied to 63 Hz) and is efficient when your speaker is close to a wall or sometimes when you dont want to hear it
L2: FLAT ? Flat frequency response for true sound. This is the most popular setting for music production in an acoustically treated space.
L3: ROOM 2 ? This setting boosts the bass (2.5 dB boost using a bell EQ at 50 Hz) and is ideal for using when you need extra power, eg. in a large space.
L4: CLUB BASS ? More bass power (5 dB boost using a 50 Hz bell EQ and a 2 dB boost using a 200 Hz bell EQ), for club type. This setting is best to use when you want as much bass as possible, eg. at parties.
HIGH EQ
Use it to adjust the treble depending on your speaker location and the type of sound you want to DJ or produce music.
H1: ROOM 1 ? This setting reduces the volume of high frequencies (3 dB of reduction using a high EQ from 3.5 kHz to 12 kHz) and is effective when space is reverberant and high frequencies are too powerful.
H2: FLAT ? Flat frequency response for true sound. This is the most popular setting for music production in an acoustically treated space.
H3: ROOM 2 ? This setting increases the volume of high frequencies (3 dB boost using a high EQ at 7 kHz) and is ideal to create clearer sounds in a room or space where the highs seem to be lost.
H4: BRIGHT TREBLE ? This setting can produce a clearer sound (thanks to a 1.5 dB boost using a horn EQ at 4 kHz and at a boost of 3.5 dB using an 8 kHz bell EQ) and helps bring out the details of individual musical instruments. For example, the sound contours of guitars, cymbals, trumpets, etc. can be heard more clearly.
New and professional design
The new aluminum hexagonal front baffle design gives a new look as well as a Improved sound quality and durability. Eliminates unwanted vibrations for minimal distortion, while tweeter protection reduces the risk of damage to the high-frequency diaphragm. And the brushed texture treated with alumite gives the speakers a professional finish, so they fit well at home next to Pioneer DJ gear.
